September 9 Kalispell, MT

The highlight of our day was eating at IHOP for dinner.  We couldn't find a place to eat that really sounded good to us, so choose IHOP because it was where we were looking for restaurants.  We like IHOP, but it's hard getting a good meal.  I usually get eggs and hash browns, which isn't real healthy.

Today I really looked a the menu and found that I could order side vegetable dishes, so I got broccoli, corn and potatoes.  Jim ordered a salad and potatoes.  The food really was good.  When our waitress brought our ticket, she started questioning us as to why we only ordered vegetables.  She had never seen anyone do that before.  She wanted to know if we belt better since we didn't eat meat.  And she told us about her Mom, who just gave up dairy products and how much better she feels.  Wendy, our waitress, said she eats tons of red meat.  Apparently she has health problems and thinks like she would feel better if she gave up meat.

We were able to share a lot of information with her.  I just read the new book 'Forks over Knives' this week, so I had much new info that I didn't know before.

We ended up going back to the motel where we left the trailer, getting the video 'Forks over Knives', a Vibrant Life magazine on the same subject and the booklet 'Toxic Terrorism' to give to Wendy.  She was so interested in the subject and excited to get this material.

Sunday at our sale, I plan on giving Audrey, a friend from here, Wendy's info and ask her to check-up on her progress on giving up meat.  I told Wendy that if she really was serious about this, she needed a support group for help.

It is so thrilling when we realize that by our example, people notice.  You never know when or who is watching what you do or say.
