Wow! This day flew. Our first sale in Clovis didn't want to quit. We had a couple customers for about 30 minutes after we closed. About 10 minutes after they left, the lady came back and asked if we'd stay open another 30 - 45 minutes so her friend could come shopping. We couldn't. We have a schedule to keep.
So we stopped for a quick lunch (our next chance to eat would be seven hours later). When we were ready to start driving, we realized that Texas was in Central Time Zone. We were going to be 2 minutes late, according to the GPS. But, the GPS took us for a 'ride'. I don't know how or where it was going, but not to Amarillo. Jim actually stopped at a gas station and asked for directions (not happily though). We ended up being about 20 minutes late.
You should have seen the cars waiting for us. This is the first time we actually let the men help us get ready. A couple men helped Jim get the pre-orders order outside.
Two older ladies were first in line. They were funny. The first didn't want the second to say anything while I was waiting on her. She kept telling her to shut up and wait her turn. #1 couldn't follow what was going on. She blamed #2 for everything. Actually, #2 was more 'together' than #1. I'm betting that they are sisters!
Anyway, we had a great sale. The trailer was jam packed for two hours. That was fun!
