Driving both the car and the truck has its challenges. After we got into Oregon, Jim had to stop at a weight station with the truck. I was right behind him, so just kept driving. He didn't see me pass. So he waited at Burns Junction more than 30 minutes for me. I waited at Rome for him. We didn't have any cell connections. Finally we both drove on and met in Jordan Valley about thirty minutes later. That part of Oregon is all desert. We had to stop at the Press on the way home, so it was late afternoon before we got home.
