August 2 Lake Tahoe, NV
Jim did all of 25 mpg coming up the mountains today. We went from about 4000' to 6000'. It's stupid to be going that slow.
The Campmeeting is at a campground by the lake. It's neat with all the tents between the tall pine trees. It's between 70 - 80 degrees here. I love it.
Within five minutes of pulling into camp, I ran into my cousin Joyce and her family. They live in Monument Valley, UT.
A little later my friend Lorene Soderstrom, from CA came to see me. She brought Meryl Wilson-Mote with her. We were all three in the Church Singles Ministry together, 30 years ago. Meryln's nephew is Elder Ted Wilson, World President of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. I so enjoyed my visit with these ladies.
We had a wonderful sale today, especially since we weren't even scheduled to be open until tomorrow. We sold tons of food. I hope we have enough for all week.
We're both tired to the bone. But it was a good day.
