I'm so far behind with writting my blog, that I now have to combine several days. Our first stops were in Payette, ID and three towns in Oregon; Vale, Ontario and Baker City. We haven't been to any of these places before.
Vale was our first stop. The sales were fantastic, especially for a small church. While we were in our sale in Ontario, a lady came in saying that she had driven from Baker City that morning. The roads were nasty. The snow was so heavy and thick that there actually was a whiteout. The road was even closed for awhile. We were very concerned about going there, as it was the evening of the same day as that storm. But after much prayer, we decided to do it. We drove on dry roads all the way. Interesting how the morning and evening can be so different. We were worried about coming back the next day as they were predicting lots of snow. Finally we decided to stay the night and come back in the morning. Again we drove on dry roads and sunshine. When we got to Caldwell, about 20 miles from home, it started snowing! The Lord is good!
Our schedule was so tight, that we drove directly to our chiropractor appointment, with minutes to spare! From there we drove to the Press, where my car was parked. I drove directly to my hair appointment, again with minutes to spare. Then I went back to the truck and we worked in there most of the afternoon.
Alix and Bill had invited us to their home for supper, so we went directly there after working. It was very nice to be able to relax with friends and welcome in the Sabbath with them.
Sunday we spent several hours in Boise picking up more books and frozen food. I did get to pack our clothes for the next three months too. It's so hard to think warm weather clothes when it is still so cold out. Now we think that we are ready for the big trip!
