So far this is a 12 hour day and Jim is still working. We stayed in Alamogordo last night, because Las Cruses had some big weekend and all the motels were booked. So we had to drive about 90 minutes to get to our first sale. We were early, but people were waiting. There's always someone who comes in early, but people were waiting. There's always someone who comes in jsut before closing and they browse slowly. So Jim and I restocked shelves while we waited.
There's a cute little six year old boy here that likes us! So we made his day!!! Jim let Jonah and a couple friends set in the semi truck. After we finished closing up, he was still there. So with his parents permission, we took him about a mile down the road! Actually, he wanted to ride to el Paso with us. His smile went from one ear to the other and stayed there the whole time we drove. His face will probably hurt tomorrow.
We got to el Pasc about a half hour early. They were having a school event, so a minute after the doors were open, the trailer was full. And it stayed that way a full two hours. And it was full enough after that. We were busy four hours for this 2 hour sale.
One lady wanted the Secret of Revelation in Spanish. I only had the Secret of Daniel on the shelf. She was so disappointed. When I looke don the computer, I could tell that I had one in a box for re-stocking. Luckily not only did I know which box, but I knew where the box was located. She was so happy that I would have gotten a hug except it was so full in there, that she couldn't reach me. I do like happy customers.
The school had a supper fund-raiser. So we got supper free. That was especially nice as breakfast was such a long time ago. And by then we were too tired to want to find a place to eat.
This is a different motel then we have stayed at before. It has a front room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Too bad we couldn't have had it this weekend when we were in one place 3 nights in a row. We will be of of here by nine in the morning. It's a Ramada Inn.
