May 12 Libby, MT

Our trip today was really interesting. The weather is still great. The sky is beautiful, with fluffy white clouds.

The roads were hilly, with lots of evergreen trees and lakes and streams. What was so amazing, was the different colors of the lakes. The lakes we was were blue, green, yellow, brown, black and even white. I've never seen so many colors of water. I imagine the clouds and sunlight had a lot to do with it.

The lakes were all out of their banks. Some places I saw farms with their fences part way under water and the water up close to the houses. It's been rainy here. Also with the warmer weather, the snow melt in the mountains are filling the rivers and streams.

We had an excellent sale tonight. It's such a small town you wouldn't think it possible. We saw Pam and her family. She was a student at the elementary school I worked at in Idaho. Jim took her children out to the truck so they could set behind the steering wheel. Little kids seem to love that.

I had an unusual request for a book tonight. A man wanted a book with a picture of a lamb on in! That's the only description he had for the book. I hate it, but I couldn't help him. I need just a little more information.

My friends, Maynard and Lynette, became grandparents yesterday for the first time. Their daughter, Kristie gave birth to a little boy at 12:01 yesterday morning, just in time for Grandma's birthday. How special!
